Hi Larry Ferlazzo,
Do you have Spanish-speaking English Language Learners (ELLs) in your classroom? Research shows that ELLs will have an easier time learning to read English if they’re also engaging with texts in their home language. Our free mobile app for preschool through second-grade students now has 80 books that are translated into both Spanish and English. The books feature friendly animal characters that help kids practice counting, learn about feelings, and more.

Download the Khan Academy Kids app to see the books now! Click on the appropriate App Store button below, and you’ll be taken to a page where you can download the app. It’ll take you two minutes to make a Class Account, and then you’ll be able to find the Spanish books in the Books tab.

While you’re in the app, check out our new Stories with People books too (in English only). They cover SEL topics like empathy, self-confidence, cooperation, and independent problem-solving. Kids will love the cute illustrations and relatable storylines. You can preview a summary of each book here.

We hope you enjoy!
