It’s almost time for summer camp at Khan Academy Kids! My name is Lorraine, and I’ll be the camp counselor this summer. We’re about to embark on an incredible journey, and I’m so excited to team up with your little learners to help them read, learn, and play at Camp Khan Kids.
You’ll receive a weekly camp schedule each Monday in July that will include all the online and offline activities for that week. You can also find these weekly schedules at camp.khankids.org
— so don’t forget to bookmark it! We have four fun themes planned, and I want to make sure that you have the opportunity to experience them all.
During camp, we’ll be using recycled materials like magazines, paper, cardboard, TP rolls, corks, nature objects, and anything extra that’s lying around for building and making. So start saving those things now. This “art recycling” collection can power your summer!
In addition, I hope caregivers like you will be able to enjoy summertime just as much as your kids. As a parent myself, I recall wondering how I would manage several months of open-ended schedules. Somehow I did it, but not without help, planning, and inspiration. Camp Khan Kids is designed to provide some of that support.
So, let’s do this together! Stay tuned for our first week of camp launching on July 4 (with fireworks). It’s called Wonderful Wings Week, and the Khan Academy Kids crew can’t wait to connect with you. If you have friends who’d like to join, sign them up here
. It’s all 100% free, just like Khan Academy Kids.
See you soon! 👋
